Target PR Range: 19-28/hr
*Depending on experience

In this vital role the Sr. Associate will have responsibility for managing and supporting early career talent strategy within Research organization. This role ensures the continued success of existing early career talent programs, including pre- and post-doctoral internships, fellowships and postdocs, as well as the strategic implementation and continuous improvement of new programs across the Research organization’s sites and sub-functions. Reporting to the R&D Talent & Culture Team within the R&D Strategy & Business Operations group, the Sr. Associate will work in close partnership with the Director of Early Career Talent & Strategic Alliances to align talent initiatives with business priorities, foster a culture of engagement and inclusion, and drive organizational performance in the Research organization.

• Program Management and Development
o Supports the management of existing early career talent programs across research sub-functions, including program lifecycle processes, from proposal selection, participant onboarding, training and learning opportunities, to scientific output and onward career development
o Implements operational processes, continuous improvements and drives talent pipeline expansion
o Manages stakeholder alignment with business partners from R&D Strategy & Operations, HR, talent acquisition, corporate affairs, legal and finance

• Collaboration & Communication
o Executes meeting management of the Research Early Career Talent Steering Committee, including agendas, minutes, actions and decisions
o Supports the organization and execution of the postdoctoral fellows’ program annual conference, bimonthly postdoc seminar series, and trainings
o Integrates with cross-functional peers such as Operations and Commercialization talent teams and communicates best practices and learnings
o Partners with R&D Talent & Culture to develop communication strategies to amplify early career talent opportunities internally and externally

• Talent Data Analytics & Reporting
o Develops metrics, dashboards and reports to evaluate the effectiveness of research talent programs and to inform program improvements
o Maintains all research early career talent program data & communicates trends and insights to provide recommendations on program design and strategy

• Talent Experience
o Executes on Research Early Career Talent Steering Committee vision for talent experience focused on the health and growth of the research talent pipeline
o Enhances talent engagement, ensures a positive work environment and promotes a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging aligned with functional, organizational and enterprise-wide goals and objectives
o Creates value for both internal staff and external program participants

We are seeking a professional with the following qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 2 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience or work experience in a life sciences organization
Or
Associates degree and 5 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience or work experience in a life sciences organization
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of HR, Talent or organizational development experience or or work experience in a life sciences organization

Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or Life Sciences
• Keen interest in biology, life sciences, biotech industry, and academic mentoring and training of early career professionals
• Proven experience in developing and executing talent strategies and programs
• Experience directly leading or managing teams, projects, programs
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives
simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• and across functions
• Commitment to encouraging an inclusive and engaging work environment
• High level of emotional intelligence and cultural competence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
• Certification in HR, talent management or project management (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PRMP) is a plus.
