Sr. Data Analyst, Clinical Systems and Analytical Reporting - Analytics
We are seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join the Clinical Systems Analytical & Reporting (CSAR)-Analytics team within Global Development Operations. This role will enhance our analytical reporting capabilities and support business continuity across multiple clinical system technology enhancement projects. Key responsibilities include contributing to analytics initiatives supporting critical business functions relying on data from eTMF, EDC, CTMS, and other clinical systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in operational data from clinical trial systems, with experience in transforming data into meaningful insights through dashboards and reporting tools to inform study teams, leadership, and other stakeholders. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional partners, including Digital Technology & Innovation (IS), business process owners, and other subject matter experts to deliver strategic business intelligence, support decision-making, and monitor key performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Successfully partner with cross-functional team members, by guiding discussions on optimized methods for data collection, standardization, governance, and reporting to develop innovative, analytical solutions.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of vendor services, including delivery of analytical reports and solutions, while ensuring quality and timeliness of vendor product delivery.
• Provide insights, business intelligence, and management analytics for effective decision making in alignment with Global Networks and Continuous Improvement strategies
• Collaborate with Business Process Owners (BPOs) to champion reporting needs that align to business practices and seek opportunities to lead change
• Prioritize business needs, manage expectations for results and align to development plans
• Grow knowledge for how business processes, systems, and reports work together to support business decisions
• Streamline efficient and effective methods for business process automation
• Perform quality oversight including quality gate controls and work with external resources to manage the creation and execution of user acceptance tests
Basic Qualifications:
• Doctorate Degree OR
• Master's Degree and 3 years of Clinical experience OR
• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of Clinical experience OR
• Associate degree and 10 years of Clinical experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in life science, computer science, engineering, business, or related discipline
• Experience working with data from clinical system applications, e.g. eTMF, CTMS, Rave, Veeva, etc.
• 4+ years of experience working in data analytics including developing data visualization tools
• In-depth knowledge of data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau or PowerBI
• Hands-on experience with predictive modeling techniques, machine learning, or statistical modeling using Python, R, or SAS.
• Experience collaborating with IS organizations to implement data solutions
• Comfortable working with large datasets and ability to create meaningful insights from multiple data sources
• Knowledgeable in Good Clinical Practices, and FDA regulations
• Understanding of the Clinical Development life cycle and/or Clinical Development Operations processes/procedures
• Project management and technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent documentation and communication skills
• Previous vendor management experience
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Have sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making abilities
• Be able to work well in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
