Job Description
Backfill Procurement Operation responsibilities on a temporary basis.
This position will be accountable for executing all the company’s day-to-day Procurement Operations activities across various spending areas. As a member of the Procurement Operations team, you are responsible for understanding business needs, advising on the appropriate purchasing approach, and assisting the Business owners with procurement-related activities as needed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform operational activities within the company, focusing on the delivery and quality of stakeholder service.
This includes:
o Manage Global Procurement Operations team for Ex-China
o Support Business with Policies and Procedures
o Lead and develop SAP user improvements to streamline processes
o Serve as a point contact for Audit and Compliance
o Contribute to developing and refining operational strategies globally
o Collaborate on Material Groups, Policies, and Procedures with Procurement Excellence
o Partner w/Data & Analytics for purchasing and VMD reporting transparency
o Create Procurement Operations transparencies
o Liaison with Legal and Finance to ensure compliant execution of purchase requests were
necessary
o Addressing, solving, and escalating any issues by executing a faultless P2P process
o Managing day-to-day vendor relationships, e.g., solving any payment challenges
o Contribute to internal training and provide support to requisitioners on vendor creation,
updates, purchase requisitions, and other procurement processes
o Assist with analyzing proposals/quotations for services, supplies, and equipment
o Transparent communication with the broader Procurement team, ensuring alignment of tasks and deliverables
o Function as an extended member of a Global category team on various initiatives, including category strategy definition, execution, Supplier Relationship Management, or strategic sourcing project definition and or execution
o Support Procurement targets and KPIs through the provision of accurate and timely data and the execution of activities in line with functional KPIs
o Support implementation, communication, and compliance with new processes and technologies. Ensure alignment with Procurement Excellence and or the Procurement Transformation team.
Qualifications and Skills
• Extensive knowledge of Procurement Operations and contracts with emphasis on business/financial terms
• ERP (Sap preferred), CLM (Icertis preferred), and Procurement systems experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Cordial and responsive
• Strong customer service orientation and a sense of urgency
• Well-organized, manage competing priorities and has good time management skills
