Job Description


Target PR Range: 19-21/hr
*Depending on experience

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position requires the employee to be responsible for collecting and maintaining packaging data for packaging and sustainability efforts. These responsibilities include working onsite at the packaging technology center, weighing packaging materials, and collecting and organizing material data. This position would also include travel as needed to manufacturing sites in order to collect material information. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Develop and maintain data summaries with Microsoft Excel.
2.    Be able to work independently.
3.    Be willing to travel around 25% time with packaging engineers to manufacturing sites to gather packaging information.
4.    Be able to learn to identify packaging levels and materials.
5.    Weigh product packaging and document data in weights database.
6.    Assist in gathering product packaging information for tender requests as needed.
7.    Report writing with Microsoft Word.
8.    Data entry and report generation with the department’s Laboratory Information Management Software.
9.    Retrieve and maintain sustainability files and certifications acquired from Cardinal Health suppliers.
10.    Correspond with internal and external personnel to collect necessary data.
11.    Perform other related duties as assigned or warranted.
12.    Potential for expanding position responsibilities as time progresses.




DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.    Have knowledge in excel and formula creation.
2.    Have ability to travel when needed and stay overnight at lodging where necessary.
3.    Understand good documentation practices.
4.    Retrieve packaging to weigh out necessary samples.
5.    Maintenance of equipment and data.
6.    Pickup and shipment of items at the warehouse.
7.    Develop/Maintain document database.


EDUCATION REQUIRED:  
College Degree in packaging or similar field preferred.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:  
1 year experience in data collection or data management.

Physical capabilities to perform the job:
•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.  The employee is also required to use a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers via a variety of media including telephone, email, instant message, social networking platforms, and in-person meetings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
Office and laboratory environment where the employee may be standing or sitting and interacting with peers in the workplace and online.
