Technical Writer - Analytical Operations

Job Description
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Lead within Analytical Operations (AO), the Technical Writer will be responsible for drafting new work instructions for analytical methods currently in-house. The role will use Microsoft Word to generate new documentation with input from the Technical Lead and other key stakeholders. Templates are provided to ensure consistency between documents. The role may expand to draft summaries of key development studies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead to generate a priority list
- Transcribe method information from SOPs and work instructions to a template provided by the Technical Lead
- Consolidate repetitive text
- Attend online team meetings and report progress to the entire team
- Attend project meetings (as required) to understand data requiring a summary
- A.S. degree and 1-2 years of experience or B.S. degree with 0-1 years of experience,
- Possess strong Microsoft Word (formatting and styles) skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Successful history meeting deadlines and prioritization of work from multiple projects
- Experience drafting procedures and work instructions.
- A basic understanding of laboratory methods.
