Job Description
The Training System Administrator is a techno-functional role providing ongoing support needed to ensure an accurate and reliable Learning Management System and other training related applications. Â The incumbent serves as a technical resource for the entire organization, including the Training and Development user community by assisting other Training and Development representatives to ensure data integrity, control of system security and access, leading and consulting on the testing of any system changes, as well as process improvement opportunities. Â
Handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices. This role is integral in the support of the T&D team as well as the organization to ensure process Governance and Compliance throughout Regional North America. The Training System Administrator conducts daily transactions, report generation, analytics for the region, as well as assisting and supporting system upgrades, configuring the LMS to meet the organization's specific needs including managing content and user accounts, and other projects related to systems. The Training System Administrator reports directly to the Regional Manager, Training and Development and has no direct reports.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
•Oversees day-to-day systemic activities of the LMS.
•Support for regularly scheduled system upgrades, modifications & enhancements to include extensive testing of data to ensure quality and system integrity. Identify opportunities and technology solutions and seek opinions and feedback on suggestions.Â
•Support integrations to and from additional systems.Â
•Troubleshoot errors, identify corrective actions, ensure all parties are notified, and validate changes for correction.Â
•Maintain data integrity and privacy to ensure system compliance requirements.
•Develop and implement new processes for efficient Training Management.Â
•Serve as a key contact and subject matter expert for any system questions, assisting in the timely, effective troubleshooting of system issues.Â
•Develop user procedures and guidelines. Create and maintain up-to-date end user training manuals and materials; ensure new T&D team is aware of system functionalityÂ
•Research and resolve issues within the systems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements; and implement recommended changes.
•Provides guidance to other T&D team members for ongoing support & projects.Â
•Conduct regular audits, reviews and analyzes evidence to ensure the accuracy of the system.  Documents audit finds, including making recommendations for improvement and correction where identified.Â
•Maintain focus on LMS knowledge and quality service and support.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Learning Management System Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in IT systems, Computer Systems Learning & Development, or a similar field and/or direct LMS experience or experience working in e-learning systems administration or a technical support field.
•Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects
•Detailed orientated
•Superior computer expertise and database management
•Ability to focus on broad perspective when addressing daily LMS issues to provide resolution and prevent recurrence.
Pay ranges between $30-35/hr based on experienceÂ
