Rep, Patient Registry
Job Description
Target PR Range: 19-24/hr DOE
Summary:
The main function of a patient registry representative is to gather and verify patient data and perform data entry (45%)
Key responsibilities:
* Collect missing information from external customers including hospital staff and doctor offices
* Review and evaluate patient and event information received, may gather additional data to determine if event should be forward to the Complaint Department.
* Perform peer auditing of IPR (Implant Patient Registry) data
* Sort and organize incoming mail by date
* Print and mail Implant Patient ID cards
* Respond and answer basic patient registry questions
* Participate in projects and may identify potential improvement opportunities to optimize process for Supervisor review
Required Qualifications:
* Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude
* Excellent data entry and administrative skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Effective written communication skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Self-motivated and dependable
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or other regulated industries (preferred but not required)
* Familiarity with medical terminology
* Previous experience in office administration or customer service
Additional Skills:
* Ability to type 55 wpm accurately
* Good computer skills including usage of MS Office Suite
* Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills
* Substantial knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures
* Basic knowledge and understanding of complaint, HIPAA, and GDP regulations
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology
* Good problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
* Strict attention to detail
* Ability to interact professionally with internal customers
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams
* Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner
Additional Notes for the Job Description:
* Regulated industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory
* Strong technical skills are essential due to the volume and complexity of data entry
* The ideal candidate thrives in structured, process-driven environments and can adapt quickly to repetitive workflows
* Role Type: Administrative and computer-based with significant document handling
* Workload: High-volume environment with existing backlog
Within the first 90-Days:
* Develop a solid understanding of team processes and systems.
* Achieve proficiency in handling standard workflows independently.
* Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills.
* Reduce reliance on supervision while escalating questions appropriately.
* Contribute to backlog reduction and productivity goals.
Education and Experience:
* Associate’s degree or equivalent in related field
* 2-4 years of experience required
