Engineering Technician
Job Description
This role supports new equipment and process development, implementation, and verification/validation activities. Responsibilities also include refining and troubleshooting existing processes, designing and fabricating tools and fixtures, and supporting R&D prototype development.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience
- Knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and inspection techniques
- Experience with prototype, fixture, and tool fabrication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, internet)
Responsibilities
- Support development, testing, and implementation of manufacturing processes (new and existing)
- Execute tasks related to engineering projects of limited scope
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement solutions
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance to ensure consistent output
- Design and develop tools, fixtures, and gauges to support manufacturing
- Fabricate prototypes for product development
- Assemble equipment based on instructions and mechanical/electrical drawings
