What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Lab Technician, you will play a pivotal role in executing and optimizing a variety of material experiments within an industrial and regulated environment. Your expertise will support both research projects and quality assurance processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable results. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and validate test methods, troubleshoot technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvements in laboratory processes. Your hands-on involvement will be essential in translating customer needs into actionable experimental strategies, all within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in materials science, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields.
- 5-8 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in materials science or biomaterials.
- Proven experience with laboratory instruments such as tensile testers, rheometers, SEM, electrospinning, GPC, IR, NMR is a plus.
- Solid track record of executing standardized and validated test methods in an industrial, ISO13485 or GLP-regulated environment.
- Strong hands-on laboratory skills combined with analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent documentation practices and compliance with quality standards.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have:
- Experience contributing to method development and optimization.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance standards.
- Experience working with academic and industrial partners.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Between 3 and 6 years of extensive hands-on lab experience, with a focus on reproducible, regulated testing.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be fluent in English and authorized to work in the Netherlands. Non-Dutch candidates with the right to work are welcome.
- Willingness to work a 36-hour week or flexible schedules, including part-time options (around 32 hours), with a maximum of 8 hours per day.
- Preference for candidates residing near Eindhoven or Belgium with easy border travel options.
