Overview
An established organisation is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join its finance team in a stable, long-term opportunity. Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of journals and month-end accounting support
* Accounts payable support
* Bookkeeping activities
* Assistance with monthly and year-end financial preparation
* Supporting audits and finance reporting activities
* General finance administration and ad-hoc team support
* Supporting the wider finance team during busy periods
Requirements
* 3-5+ years’ experience within bookkeeping or assistant accounting roles
* Stable work history strongly preferred
* Strong bookkeeping and accounts payable experience
* Comfortable working within structured, process-driven environments
* Self-starter with a mature and dependable working style
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage routine finance tasks independently
* Willingness to support the wider team with ad-hoc requests when required
Preferred Background
* Experience within structured or regulated industries preferred
* Exposure to ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, NetSuite, MYOB, Xero, or similar
* Previous experience supporting small-to-medium sized finance teams would be beneficial
