Senior Construction Manager
Job Description
The Role
A global organisation in the life sciences manufacturing space is looking for a Senior Construction Manager to support a major infrastructure project involving complex civil works. This is a high impact role focused on driving delivery, ensuring alignment across contractors, and maintaining strong control across schedule, cost and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delivery across construction activities ensuring timelines, cost and quality targets are met
- Monitor contractor progress and hold ownership of schedule tracking and milestone achievement
- Oversee financial performance and support cost control in collaboration with project services
- Conduct earned value analysis to assess project performance and forecast outcomes
- Lead coordination across multiple stakeholders including contractors, internal teams and EHS
- Facilitate and contribute to key project meetings including construction, internal and contractor reviews
- Lead and manage construction related risk and change processes including CMR cases
- Promote strong collaboration and foster a one team culture across all project parties
- Ensure final delivery meets required standards and stakeholder expectations
Experience Required
- Extensive experience in construction management on complex projects
- Strong technical background within large scale infrastructure or industrial environments
- Proven track record managing contractors and driving project performance
- Experience with schedule management, cost tracking and earned value methodologies
- Comfortable operating in a multi stakeholder environment with strong leadership presence
- Minimum 10 years experience in relevant construction or project delivery roles
