Job Description

Remote based roles based in; West, Pac. NW, Midwest, SE, NE

This role is a patient-centered advocacy position focused on helping individuals overcome barriers to access and adhere to their prescribed therapies. Acting as a dedicated guide throughout the treatment journey, you will blend empathy with operational expertise to navigate complex insurance processes, interpret benefits, and resolve coverage challenges like appeals and prior authorizations. Additionally, you will coordinate directly with specialty pharmacies to troubleshoot logistics, manage treatment scheduling, and guide patients through enrollment in financial assistance or copay programs.

Beyond direct patient support, the role relies heavily on cross-functional collaboration and meticulous compliance. You will build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, reimbursement liaisons, and internal teams to ensure seamless care transitions and share insights that improve overall access. To maintain high standards of quality and patient satisfaction, you will be responsible for accurately documenting all interactions within a CRM system while strictly adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ experience in patient access, reimbursement, case management, or healthcare navigation (pharma/biotech/specialty pharmacy/HCP setting preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of buy-and-bill or physician-administered therapies.
  • Proven skills in benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, and payer reimbursement strategies (including CPT/HCPCS coding).
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, PowerBI) and digital communication tools.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, FDA, OIG, and pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Ability to support bilateral treatment planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health, social work, healthcare administration, life sciences, or related field (advanced degree or certification a plus).
  • Prior Authorization Certified Specialist (PACS) credential preferred.
