The organization has a well-established presence in Japan’s molecular diagnostics and life science markets, operating through a hybrid direct-and-partner model. The Japan team focuses on workflow-driven solutions and strong channel collaboration to support customers across research, clinical, and applied segments.
Role Overview
This role is part of a growing molecular diagnostics commercial team in Japan. You will work with major medical institutions and clinical laboratories to expand adoption of diagnostic solutions, strengthen customer relationships, and drive territory growth. The position requires a blend of technical understanding, customer engagement, and cross?functional coordination.
What You Will Lead & Deliver

Territory Growth — Own revenue performance for molecular diagnostics products in your assigned region and execute both short? and long?term account plans.

Customer Engagement — Build strong relationships with physicians, lab technologists, lab managers, procurement teams, and other decision?makers in hospitals and testing centers.

Full Sales Cycle Management — Manage new and existing pipelines, from opportunity creation to needs assessment, proposals, contracting, installation, activation, and ongoing utilization (including CRM updates).

Partner Collaboration — Work closely with distributors on pricing, inventory, opportunity management, training, and joint visits while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Cross?Functional Coordination — Partner with internal teams (marketing, application specialists, customer service, QA/RA) to support product implementation, troubleshooting, education, and scientific activities.

Planning & Reporting — Manage forecasts, pipeline progress, and activity plans; provide regular updates and propose tactical actions to achieve targets.
What You Bring
Required
-
Certified clinical laboratory technologist with hands?on experience at a senior/lead level
-
Experience preparing technical specifications and coordinating internal hospital processes

Experience supporting academic conferences or publications

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Comfortable with English or motivated to learn

Strong communication skills with the ability to organize customer needs and coordinate stakeholders

Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint or ability to learn new tools quickly
Preferred

Sales experience in IVD, medical devices, or clinical diagnostics (manufacturer or distributor)

Experience handling large?scale proposals, price negotiations, and multi?stakeholder coordination

Business?level English for communication with regional/global teams
