Principal Engineer
Job Description
Pay ranges between 85-95/hr based on experience
Job Summary:
The Principal Engineer, Software Clinical Application designs and implements software applications to achieve product functionality needs and business objectives.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITES
1)Under minimal guidance performs, design and develops software applications and/or processes within established medical product design controls.
2) Improves software engineering process efficiency
3) Resolves software defects
4) Supports effort to create efficient software engineering practices
5) Performs root cause and failure analysis activities
6) May mentor and guide junior staff
7) Works with internal and external staff to conduct design, redesign, prototype, and other software engineering activities
8) Authors and reviews software specifications
9) Maintains technical records and files
10) Assists with project timing, tracking progress to program schedule
Requirements:

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 – 7 years of related experience
*Experience working in the Agile environment a plus.
*Strong experience with C++, emphasizing object-oriented design, use of design patterns, and leveraging modern C++ features
* Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable software solutions.
* Solid understanding of the software development life cycle, with a focus on clean, testable code.
* Comfortability with linux shell scripting and command-line tools.
* Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tools.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
* Experience with the Qt framework for developing cross-platform applications and user interfaces is a strong plus.
* Experience in embedded systems development, especially in low-level programming and hardwaresoftware integration, is a plus
