Area Sales Manager – Melbourne – TAVI
Job Description
A leading medical technology organisation is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth and market development across Melbourne within the structural heart portfolio, with a specific focus on Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI).
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused medical device sales professional who thrives in a complex clinical environment and enjoys partnering with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary heart teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales growth across the Melbourne territory for the TAVI portfolio
- Build and maintain strong relationships with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cath lab teams and key hospital stakeholders
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within structural heart accounts
- Provide case support and clinical expertise during TAVI procedures
- Execute territory business plans and achieve sales objectives
- Collaborate with clinical, marketing and leadership teams to drive adoption and market penetration
- Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor activity and customer needs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of medical device sales experience within TAVI
- Recent TAVI experience gained within the last year
- Strong understanding of structural heart procedures and catheter-based technologies
- Experience supporting cases in the cath lab environment
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong commercial acumen and presentation skills
- Full Australian working rights and willingness to travel throughout the territory
