HR Generalist

Location: Middletown, DE (Onsite)

About the Opportunity

A growing, highly regulated manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support its Delaware operations. This position serves as a key business partner to site leadership and employees, providing support across employee relations, recruiting, HR operations, and workforce initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Serve as the primary on-site HR resource for employees and management across multiple functions.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
  • Conduct employee coaching, investigations, and conflict resolution activities.
  • Maintain a strong presence throughout the facility and build relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.

Talent Acquisition

  • Support full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other business functions.
  • Source and attract candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, university partnerships, and recruiting events.
  • Coordinate interviews and hiring processes with managers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in career fairs, community outreach, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Manage multiple open requisitions in a high-growth environment.

HR Operations

  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and related HR processes.
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems while ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
  • Partner with payroll and HRIS teams to support employee lifecycle activities.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and support annual enrollment activities.

Business Partnership & Leadership Support

  • Collaborate closely with department leaders to address workforce needs and organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support site-wide HR initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist with strategic HR responsibilities and leadership initiatives as needed.

Work Environment

  • 100% onsite position supporting a manufacturing operation.
  • Regular interaction with employees on the production floor, including areas requiring PPE and gowning protocols.
  • Standard work schedule is generally Monday-Friday; however, flexibility is required to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend support may be needed.
  • Limited travel within the regional operating footprint may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting HR functions within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in:
    • Employee relations
    • Recruiting and talent acquisition
    • HR operations and compliance
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
  • Experience with payroll and HRIS platforms such as ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, or comparable systems.
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing, production, or industrial workforces.
  • Knowledge of HR practices within regulated industries.
