Target PR Range: 30-40/hr DOE

Job SUMMARY:

The Materials Management technician is responsible for accurately performing a combination of manual and automated tasks necessary for receipt, storage, transporting, picking, transferring, staging, etc. of materials that may be hazardous, temperature sensitive, or of high value amid continuously demonstrating behaviors aligned with attributes and values.  Responsible for transfers of incoming palletized materials to the general storage areas and ensures that an appropriate level of storage is maintained.  Prepares and transfers raw materials and tissue to production areas.  Maintains assigned area of responsibility according to the Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) on order, cleanliness and safety.  Identifies and posts the material to be used in the production areas. Complete the documentation corresponding to the movement of materials, discarding of materials and movement of final product in the electronic system.  Responsible for cross-training in multiple areas of the operation while maintaining a low level of quality mistakes.  Conduct cycle counts and sustains accuracy of materials and Items. Responsible for maintenance of frozen tissue inventory and transfers. Responsible for the execution of the E-beam Out process. Position involves operating simple/ complex processing equipment, ie, lifting equipment and pallet jacks. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Store and maintain Human tissue in -80 degree freezers. Follow instructions of the Group Lead/ Supervisor daily. Demonstrate steady progress and a willingness to learn all equipment and job tasks in the assigned manufacturing areas.

Receiving and storage of assessed or frozen tissue into -80-degree freezers after cleanroom processing and documenting the activity in the batch record ensuring completeness

Perform staging of Day 1 batches needed for processing. Start Thaw and End Thaw of AlloDerm tissue

Perform housekeeping of E-Beam, GMP, and freezer areas/ rooms. Maintain materials in Kanban system i.e.: GMP, Vestis Gowns /Frocks. and order supplies

Perform tissue receiving of tissue for processing and stage in designated freezer

Perform daily cycle counts of non-tissue items, Monitor materials expiration dates

job QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

The requirements described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED to ensure ability to accurately complete basic math calculations, read and understand training documents, product labeling and warehouse signage written in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast changing work demand.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced positive team-oriented environment, coupled with good multi-tasking skills.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs., and/or more with assistance. Able to bend, reach, stoop, climb, stand and walk for entire shift of 12 hours or more.

 

Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products, general computer skills and RF scanners. Ability to comprehend and execute standard problem-solving skills and effectively communicate verbally and written.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, hand tools and other devices operated in a warehouse environment while maintaining the highest level of productivity and accuracy.
