Sr Accounting Analyst II
Job Description
Target PR Range: 47.50-59.25/h DOE
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Accounting, the Sr. Accounting Analyst II will support day-to-day accounting operations for manufacturing costing, excess and obsolete (E&O) reserves, gross margin analysis, and duties and freight accruals. The analyst will also support user acceptance testing for designated areas as part of ERP upgrade.
Responsibilities:
* Support the protection of company assets by performing month-end account analyses, reconciliations, journal entry postings, and quarterly reviews.
* Perform cost accounting activities including manufacturing variance capitalization, excess and obsolete (E&O) reserves, gross margin analysis, and record accruals for duties and freight.
* Participate in user acceptance testing for ERP upgrade in designated areas.

Requirements:
* Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
* Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system) is a plus.
* CPA certificate and relevant industry accounting experience is a plus, but not required
* Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical projects with other functional groups
* Must bring a process improvement mindset.
* Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and tight deadlines; superior attention to detail is a must.
* Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under accelerated deadlines.
* Must be flexible in terms of adjusting schedule to various demands driven by our dynamic business environment.
* Self-directed and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment.
* Knowledge of US GAAP
* Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
Education:
* Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; MBA and/or CPA a plus
