Supply Chain Resilience & Compliance Specialist
Job Description
A global technology and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Supply Chain Resilience & Compliance Lead to take ownership of supplier risk management, business continuity planning, and product compliance governance across a complex international supply chain.
This is a strategic role focused on strengthening supply chain resilience, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating operational risks. Working cross functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Operations, and external suppliers, you will drive governance frameworks, risk mitigation programmes, and business continuity initiatives that support long term business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Product Compliance Governance
- Coordinate supply chain related product compliance activities across the organisation.
- Monitor upcoming regulatory requirements and assess their impact on suppliers, materials, and supply chain operations.
- Lead supplier engagement and data collection activities relating to compliance requirements.
- Coordinate compliance risk assessments and support the development of mitigation plans.
- Drive implementation and tracking of environmental, packaging, material, and supply chain compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective governance, reporting, and escalation of compliance related activities.
Supplier Risk Management
- Own and continuously develop the supplier risk management framework.
- Maintain supplier risk assessment methodologies, risk registers, and mitigation plans.
- Lead the identification and assessment of supply, quality, capacity, financial, geopolitical, and regulatory risks.
- Conduct regular supplier risk reviews and provide reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Drive risk mitigation strategies including supplier development, dual sourcing, inventory optimisation, and resilience planning.
- Monitor external risk indicators and coordinate responses to supplier related disruptions.
Business Continuity Planning
- Own and manage the Supply Chain Business Continuity Programme.
- Coordinate Business Impact Analyses and Business Continuity Plans across key business areas.
- Lead periodic testing, reviews, and updates of contingency and recovery plans.
- Support crisis preparedness and response activities.
- Ensure critical suppliers and supply chain processes are covered by appropriate continuity and recovery strategies.
Requirements
- Native level German language skills.
- Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, Quality, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Supply Chain, Risk Management, Compliance, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, or Business Continuity in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience developing and managing supplier risk and resilience programmes.
- Working knowledge of supply chain compliance regulations and governance processes, including areas such as RoHS, PPWR, WEEE, TSCA/TCPH, Responsible Sourcing, and ESG requirements.
- Proven experience managing complex cross functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, governance frameworks, and management reporting.
