Account Manager – Austria
Job Description
An international medical technology organisation is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive growth across Austria within a specialist healthcare portfolio. This is a highly autonomous role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a dedicated territory and build strong clinical and commercial relationships throughout the region.
Working closely with hospitals, clinical stakeholders and key decision makers, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing accounts and supporting the adoption of innovative healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets across Austria
- Develop and execute territory plans, forecasts and business development strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals and healthcare stakeholders
- Lead product evaluations, demonstrations and clinical support activities
- Deliver product training and education to clinical users
- Support tender activities and identify opportunities to influence specifications
- Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements
- Partner with marketing and cross functional teams to maximise opportunities
- Manage key opinion leader relationships and support customer events
- Monitor market activity and competitor developments
Requirements
- Previous medical device sales experience selling into hospitals
- Operating room experience is essential
- Nursing background strongly preferred
- Experience working independently in a field based territory role
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to develop and close opportunities
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Native level German and fluent English
- Willingness to travel extensively across Austria
