Candidates must have prior hands-on flow cytometry experience, including experience analyzing flow cytometry data independently.

The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant life science discipline, at least two years of practical work experience, and demonstrated ability to interpret flow cytometry plots and recognize data quality issues. Industry experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant academic laboratory experience may be considered if they can demonstrate independent flow cytometry data analysis experience.

The successful candidate is expected to review and interpret technical data, prepare accurate product figures and supporting descriptions, follow established procedures, and communicate issues clearly to project leads and cross-functional partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·Responsible for reviewing flow cytometry data and preparing accurate product figures for customer-facing technical materials.
·Analyze and interpret flow cytometry plots, including dot plots and histograms, to confirm that data are suitable for customer-facing use.
·Identify potential data quality concerns, inconsistencies, or missing information and escalate issues as appropriate.
·Draft and update brief figure descriptions that accurately reflect the data shown and follow established naming and formatting conventions.
·Follow standard procedures and templates to ensure consistent execution across a high volume of product records.
·Enter and maintain technical content in internal product data systems with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
·Maintain accurate documentation of assigned work, project status, completed records, and items requiring review.
·Work cross-functionally with product management, technical, R&D, and quality partners to support timely completion of project deliverables.
·Contribute to process consistency and identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and data quality.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
·Must have hands-on experience with flow cytometry, including independent analysis of flow cytometry data.
·Must be able to interpret dot plots and histograms and judge whether staining patterns and data quality are acceptable for use.
·Must have working proficiency in flow cytometry analysis software such as FlowJo, FACSDiva, FCS Express, or equivalent tools.
·Must be able to apply gating and plot formatting consistently across a high volume of records.
·Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort maintaining large trackers with accurate per-record status.
·Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures, templates, naming conventions, and quality expectations.
·Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify when data quality or record inconsistencies require escalation.
·Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive technical work accurately and efficiently.
·Familiarity with antibody conjugates, fluorochromes, immunophenotyping markers, and common flow cytometry model systems preferred.
·Effective written and oral communication skills in a cross-functional team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related life science discipline is required. A Master’s degree in a related discipline is acceptable. Candidates must have at least two years of practical work experience in a professional laboratory, technical, data analysis, QC, product data, or related life science environment. Industry experience is preferred, but relevant academic laboratory experience may be considered if the candidate has demonstrated independent flow cytometry data analysis experience. On-site presence in San Diego is expected for data access and initial training.
