General Manager
Job Description
This is an operational leadership role with responsibility for day-to-day manufacturing, production planning, people, throughput, yield, capacity and GMP readiness.
The successful candidate will also play an important role in establishing and scaling new manufacturing capability, working closely with Quality, Engineering and the wider leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day GMP manufacturing and production operations
- Manage production planning, capacity, throughput, yield and cost
- Lead and develop manufacturing and operational teams
- Support commissioning and qualification of new manufacturing capability
- Maintain strong GMP, inspection and audit readiness
- Partner with Quality across deviations, CAPA, validation and change control
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Support manufacturing scale-up and increasing commercial production
About You
We’re looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader, rather than a purely strategic or corporate operator.
You’ll ideally bring strong experience within GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing, with demonstrated responsibility for production teams and site operations.
Experience across PIC/S GMP, facility commissioning/scale-up, inspections, CDMO/contract manufacturing or multi-site operations would be particularly valuable.
