Job Details

Duties:    
Manage delivery of up to four concurrent AI and AI-agent implementation initiatives from approved idea through prototype, testing, production readiness, deployment, and transition to support.
Develop and maintain clear project plans, milestones, sprint goals, dependencies, resource requirements, risks, issues, decisions, and success criteria for each initiative.
Lead approximately 8-week AI implementation cycles using Agile/Scrum methods, with short iterative sprints focused on rapid prototyping, demonstration, testing, feedback, and refinement.
Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews/demos, retrospectives, and other delivery working sessions with internal teams and external vendors.
Partner with business and technology leads to translate prioritized AI ideas into actionable backlogs, user stories, technical tasks, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
Maintain strong PMI-based project management discipline across scope, schedule, risk, stakeholder management, governance, change control, financial tracking, and project closure.
Manage RAID logs, action logs, decision logs, project status reporting, sprint/release plans, and other required IT PMO and SDLC artifacts.
Proactively identify blockers, dependencies, resource constraints, and delivery risks and drive them to resolution or timely escalation.
Coordinate closely with AI architects, Enterprise Applications, integration teams, data teams, Infrastructure/Cloud, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and other technical stakeholders.
Ensure Architecture, Cybersecurity, Privacy, AI Governance, data, and other required reviews are initiated early and progress in parallel with solution prototyping and development.
Demonstrate sufficient technical understanding of AI agents, Generative AI, orchestration, APIs, integrations, enterprise data, identity/access, security, testing, monitoring, and production support to effectively drive technical work to completion.
Facilitate technical discussions, document key decisions, confirm accountable owners, and ensure resulting actions are completed.
Manage external vendors and implementation partners, including deliverables, dependencies, commitments, SOW expectations, timelines, and performance issues.
Hold internal and external teams accountable for sprint commitments, deliverables, decisions, and agreed-upon dates.
Coordinate iterative business testing and demonstrations throughout the implementation cycle rather than relying solely on end-of-project validation.
Support SIT, UAT, defect triage, solution evaluation, production-readiness reviews, cutover, deployment, hypercare, and transition-to-support activities.
Maintain clear visibility across the portfolio of concurrent AI initiatives and identify conflicts involving shared resources, technical dependencies, environments, or business priorities.
Provide concise, action-oriented project updates to IT leadership, PMO, business sponsors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure each AI initiative maintains clear business outcomes and measurable success criteria and that delivered capabilities are evaluated against those outcomes.
Help establish and continuously improve a repeatable delivery model for moving AI ideas rapidly and responsibly from concept to working enterprise solutions.

Skills:    
7+ years of IT project management, program management, or technology delivery experience, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent technology initiatives with overlapping resources, dependencies, vendors, and stakeholders.
Hands-on experience leading AI, Generative AI, AI-agent, intelligent automation, or similar emerging-technology implementations.
Strong understanding of AI implementation concepts including AI agents, LLMs, orchestration, APIs, integrations, enterprise data, retrieval/RAG, identity and access, testing, monitoring, and production support.
Strong grounding in PMI project management principles, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, issue, dependency, stakeholder, vendor, change-control, and project-governance management.
Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience, including leading daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews/demos, retrospectives, and iterative release cycles.
Ability to manage approximately 8-week implementation cycles while maintaining short, iterative sprint cadences and rapid feedback loops.
Experience translating business ideas and desired outcomes into executable delivery plans, prioritized backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable success criteria.
Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and the ability to engage effectively with architects, engineers, developers, and technical vendors.
Familiarity with Cybersecurity, Privacy, AI Governance, data protection, authentication/authorization, third-party risk, and other controls relevant to enterprise AI implementations.
Ability to identify architecture, security, data, integration, resource, and delivery dependencies early and drive required decisions and actions to completion.
Experience managing external vendors and systems integrators, including SOW commitments, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, performance, and escalations.
Strong experience with SIT, UAT, defect management, production-readiness reviews, cutover, deployment, hypercare, and transition to operational support.
Strong facilitation skills with the ability to independently lead technical working sessions, business meetings, daily delivery meetings, and executive-level project discussions.
Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate RAID logs, action logs, decision logs, sprint plans, status reporting, and project documentation.
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and drive accountability across teams without direct reporting authority.
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort operating in an environment where requirements and technical solutions may evolve through prototyping and iterative testing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical issues into clear business impacts, decisions, and recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to established IT PMO, SDLC, governance, architecture, and organizational operating models.
Experience with Jira and common project/portfolio management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or equivalent.
PMP certification strongly preferred; PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or other Agile certification is a plus.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or another regulated environment is preferred.

Education:    
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline is a plus.
Equivalent combination of education and significant relevant experience in enterprise technology delivery may be considered.
PMP certification strongly preferred.
PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, or similar Agile certification is a plus.
AI, cloud, security, or enterprise architecture certifications are a plus but not required.
