Senior Research Associate, Translational Sciences

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the core team to creatively design and execute in-vivo studies to screen novel gene editing candidates.
- Execute critical in-vivo procedures in rodents, tissue processing and sample analysis.
- Execute and train the in-vivo team in novel in-vivo techniques for dosing, tissue collection and in-life data collection.
- Work with the in-vivo team in streamlining animal study execution, sample collection, and sample transfer with quality oversight
- Aid the vivarium team in maintaining and managing the vivarium as needed.
- Help the team design and execute hypotheses driven and properly controlled studies, analyze data with rigorous quality control, and write up publication quality reports.
- Effectively collaborate with members within a fully integrated team to facilitate execution on projects with established timelines.
- Analyze and present in-vivo data and communicate study design, plans, and timelines to all stakeholders.
- Foster a driven, fast-paced, dynamic, and fun environment to do rigorous science.
- A BS/BA in Biology, or closely related field with 10+ years of lab experience in in-vivo pharmacology and/or bioanalysis in pharmaceutical environments
- 5+ year experience working with rodents, especially mice.
- Scientific thinker interested in learning the science behind the experiments.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research team.
Preferred Skills and Background:
- Familiarity with CRISPR technologies and therapeutic approaches
- Experience running Bioanalytical assays in industry setting
