The Opportunity: Operations manager in Translational Research (Biology)
As a contract operations manager in Translational Research (Biology), you will report into the Director of Cancer Pharmacology in Translational Research:

Responsible for accurately and efficiently registering high volumes of biological samples from translational studies (non-clinical samples) into inventory management systems.

Accountable for sample location identification, sample check-in and check-out processes, and maintenance of up-to-date inventories.

Act as a central communication hub to coordinate and proactively identify and implement strategies to increase the effectiveness of biological sample management including via improved sample accessibility and operational efficiency.

Coordinate and support sample-related activities across CROs and identify CROs that can assist in sample management.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

BS/MS degree in relevant scientific discipline and 3+ years of experience in project coordination or management in an industry environment.

Highly organized, exceptional attention to detail, excellent record keeping skills, and calm under pressure.

Sample inventory and tracking experience, experience working with databases and generally computer savvy.

Good documentation practice and familiarity with writing SOPs and work instructions.

Rigorous, quantitative, keen to maximize efficiency.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with project and departmental teams.

Innovative, proactive, and collaborative team-player with high energy for our small company environment.

Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and work efficiently in a fluid environment.
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with biological data platforms such as Benchling, database building and integration preferred.

Experience in handling animal models, histology and biomarker assays, as well as NGS is desirable.
