Product Communications Contractor

Job Description
You will support the Oncology team by engaging in a wide range of critical efforts including disease education awareness, corporate reputation, content development, data/regulatory milestones, including FDA approvals as well as be the lead and main contact for administrative tasks. You will also serve as a counselor and expert executor, working alongside cross-functional partners.
In addition, you will work on Internal Corporate Communications projects including writing and developing communications for the intranet, newsletters and corporate initiatives, as well as external projects for the website. Additionally, you will support the Corporate Communications function in their efforts to engage and educate employees and increase visibility as an innovative company that is driven by their more than 30-year commitment to human health care.
Essential Functions
• Write and edit content (e.g., media materials, biweekly newsletter, social/web, speeches, talking points, Q&As, internal announcements, intranet news articles, blogs and surveys)
• Along with the team, manage and collaborate with PR and social media agencies who work as an extension our team
• Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines are high-quality, audience-specific, and follow brand guidelines
• Contribute to the teamwork and success of the broader Corporate Communications department
• Manage administrative tasks for full Communications department, including Medical/Legal/Regulatory submissions, contract and purchase order requests, updating trackers as needed, etc.
Oncology Communications
• Support execution of overall communications activities to educate key audiences about oncology products and the company’s profile in the oncology space
• Collaborate and participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including: co-promote partners and cross-functional departments across US and Global to ensure alignment on strategy and execution for all activities
• Lead on project management for unbranded disease state awareness programs, including communicating back and forth with participants (i.e., patients, survivors, caregivers and KOLs), securing information needed for contracting, sharing contracts with them for approval, sending for e-signature and uploading fully executed versions to eContract
Corporate Communications
• Manage US Corporate website updates, including tracking projects, securing legal/regulatory approval and working with the IT team on implementation
• Support website project management, including liaising between agencies, business owners and development team for images, copy, changes, etc. and assist with drafting new copy as needed
• Support team with leadership and business projects, such as developing communications plans, decks and collateral, as well as company-wide meeting preparation
• Help drive employee engagement and productivity internally both online and through live, on-site activities
Scope measures
This role affects external corporate images and product portfolio success.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical/health care communications, agency or in-house experience
• Possess an understanding of prescription product/brand, manufacturing and pipeline communications in the pharmaceutical industry, including all applicable regulatory requirements
• Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter with an innovative and resilient mindset
• Possesses a firm grasp of social media tools, including LinkedIn and Twitter
• Has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work well on a team, and deliver results
• Experience working with PR, communications, social and other agencies/vendors
• Working knowledge of Veeva is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications or related field
Pay ranges between $45-56/hr based on experience
