Clinical Safety Coordinator - Japan
Job Description
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Role Overview
This role sits within a global clinical research organisation supporting safety and pharmacovigilance activities across Phase I–IV clinical development programs. The team works closely with internal stakeholders and clinical research sites to ensure accurate safety reporting and compliance with global regulatory standards.
This position is well suited to candidates with a clinical background who are looking to build or further develop experience in clinical safety and pharmacovigilance within a structured CRO environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and determine appropriate action for incoming safety-related communications
- Collect, process, and track adverse events and safety information
- Draft and maintain safety narratives
- Prepare reports and summaries of safety data
- Collaborate with internal teams and investigative sites to ensure adherence to safety processes and timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience
- Experience in clinical research and/or post-marketing pharmacovigilance is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Bilingual Japanese and English (written and verbal)
