We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Director of Business Development on behalf of a leading organization in the clinical research space.
This is a high-impact, strategic role ideal for a seasoned professional with deep industry knowledge and a passion for driving growth in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
About the Role
As Senior Director of Business Development, you’ll lead the charge in expanding our client’s footprint across oncology and rare disease markets. You’ll be responsible for designing and executing sales and marketing strategies, building strong client relationships, and securing new business opportunities. This is a client-facing role with significant visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing plans to attract biotech and pharma clients
  • Qualify leads, conduct client meetings, and secure RFPs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client-sponsored functions
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with CROs, data management firms, and other stakeholders
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to the Executive Team on pricing, competitiveness, and positioning
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting via Salesforce or similar CRM tools
What We’re Looking For
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, science, or healthcare
  • 12+ years in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred:
  • Corporate management and sales experience within the CRO/pharma space
  • Postgraduate qualifications
