Job Description:
The client recently underwent an audit of its Records Retention Policy, identifying several areas requiring remediation. As part of this initiative, the Workday Configuration Analyst will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and deploying Workday functionality—specifically focused on data purge and retention processes—to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements by April 2027.
This role will be responsible for building test scripts, creating test data, and managing all aspects of testing. The analyst will work closely with the Workday Configuration Analyst and Systems & Data Compliance Analyst to ensure that purge logic, breadcrumb data retention, and interface updates are thoroughly tested and meet performance, reliability, scalability, and security standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain test plans and procedures for Workday system integration and purge functionality
Build test scripts and create test data, especially within Workday HCM
Manage all aspects of testing, including execution, documentation, and issue tracking
Validate purge logic and breadcrumb data retention processes in Workday
Perform usability testing for system performance, reliability, scalability, and security
Track and document test progress and results
Collaborate with configuration and compliance teams to ensure audit-aligned testing coverage
Conduct routine testing tasks under supervision and escalate issues as needed
Participate in meetings and provide status updates to project leads and managers
Qualifications:
Experience with Workday HCM is required, especially for test data creation
Familiarity with Workday Purge processes is a plus
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and data integrity
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced, cross-functional environment
