We’re seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead client engagement and expand our reach within the human life sciences sector. In this crucial role, you will leverage your proven sales and business development expertise to build strong client relationships, identify new market opportunities, and achieve significant sales targets. Your expert knowledge in the life sciences industry and your direct customer-facing experience will be instrumental in driving success and making a real difference.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ commercial/business development experience in the life sciences sector
- Proven track record of executing successful sales deals and achieving targets
- Direct customer-facing sales or service experience in the life sciences industry
- PhD in human biology or a closely related life sciences discipline (e.g., biology, biochemistry, biotech, cell biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, cancer, metabolism, genetics)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working within toxicology, CRO, or related sectors
- Knowledge of sales targets and experience meeting or exceeding them
- Existing network and established contacts within the industry
Preferred Education and Experience:
- PhD in a human biology-focused life sciences field
- At least 2 years of relevant commercial or sales experience in life sciences
- Demonstrated success in direct customer-facing roles
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work at least 2 days per week in the Stevenage office
