In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines that facilitate rapid, accurate, and compliant data flow across diverse systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure the integrity of data ingestion, transformation, and automation processes, all while shaping the company’s evolving data architecture. Your work will directly support innovative healthcare solutions and contribute to advancing patient outcomes.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2–5 years of experience building data workflows and integrations with configurable platforms or modern ETL tools (Spark experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, relational database structures, and cloud data ecosystems such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Experience with data standards such as FAIR
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving data environments within life sciences, healthcare, or biotech
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Curiosity, ownership, and a passion for problem-solving and system optimization
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience integrating LIMS, ELN, or lab automation systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CLIA, or FDA data regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
- Basic proficiency in Python or SQL for automation and validation
- Palantir Foundry experience
- Understanding of data dictionaries, ontologies, and controlled vocabularies
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree complemented by hands-on experience in data pipeline development
- Industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or biotech sectors, especially in regulatory or compliance-heavy environments
Other Requirements:
- This position is onsite in Chicago, IL, requiring 5 days per week presence
- Ability to adapt and iterate quickly while maintaining strict data quality and security standards
- Prior experience or familiarity with cloud data platforms, data governance, and automation tools is a plus
