Join Our Team as a Senior Software Engineer – Pioneering Cloud-Based Video Processing Solutions

Are you a passionate software engineer with a flair for high-performance, hardware-accelerated video technologies? We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to lead innovative projects that leverage cutting-edge AI inference and cloud computing to transform medical device capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely within the UK and make a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry.

In this role, you'll design, implement, and optimize custom video pipelines on the cloud, utilizing hardware acceleration to deliver low-latency, high-quality video processing, AI inference, and streaming solutions. Collaborating within an interdisciplinary team, you will develop robust, secure-by-design software that advances medical technology and improves patient outcomes.

Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with AI inference acceleration technologies such as NVIDIA TensorRT, ONNX Runtime
  • Strong Python programming skills, especially in numerical computing libraries like NumPy, CuPy, SciPy
  • Expertise in hardware-accelerated video decoding/encoding using Python
  • Proven ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Experience in end-to-end project ownership—from concept to production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • CUDA or OpenCL kernel development experience
  • Knowledge of video codecs such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, VP9
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and tooling
  • Experience with AWS services like EKS and SQS

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Several years of professional experience developing high-performance video or AI software, ideally within a medical or highly regulated environment

Other Requirements:
  • This role is based in London, UK, with a fully remote option nationwide
  • Availability to start ASAP
  • Contract duration: 3 months, full-time (37.5 hours/week)
