Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Description
We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing international product organisation within the medical technology space. This role becomes available as a freelance engagement concludes and the work transitions into a permanent long term position.
The role sits within a distributed product organisation supporting a US facing platform with engineering teams across Europe and North America. You will work closely with a DevOps team based in Canada and collaborate daily with software engineering product and client facing teams. English is the primary working language across the organisation.
This position operates within enterprise hosted customer environments rather than public cloud platforms.
The role
You will play a key role in designing building and maintaining automated infrastructure and delivery pipelines that support a modern secure and scalable software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain secure and scalable CI CD pipelines
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Design and operate secure Azure based enterprise environments
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to automate development workflows
- Enable continuous integration practices across distributed teams
- Embed security enhancing steps such as code signing static analysis and security testing into build processes
- Coach teams on DevOps principles practices and mindset
- Mentor colleagues on DevOps architecture tooling and operational best practice

Experience required
- Bachelor degree in computer science software engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Development or DevOps environment
- Strong experience with Azure based infrastructure
- Hands on experience with GitHub GitHub Actions and CI pipelines
- Experience with automation and observability tooling
- Strong understanding of DevOps frameworks including Terraform Ansible and Packer
- Experience with network administration and monitoring tools
- Fluent professional level English
