Teamleader Outbound Logistics
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader Outbound to join a warehouse operations environment working the early shift. This role sits at the heart of outbound logistics and is responsible for day to day operational delivery team leadership and performance management.
You will lead a dedicated outbound team and work closely with warehouse planning resourcing and operations management to ensure efficient and high quality shipment execution.
The role
As Team Leader Outbound you are responsible for the organisation execution and continuous improvement of outbound warehouse activities. You will lead people processes manage operational priorities and ensure KPI performance across the shift.
The role reports directly into the Operations Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Organise and manage the daily outbound operational workload
- Build maintain and develop a strong outbound team through coaching training and feedback
- Lead performance management activities including objective setting feedback and formal evaluations
- Monitor analyse and report on outbound KPIs and operational results
- Coordinate closely with warehouse planning to align priorities and shipment schedules
- Ensure balance between available resources and planned workload
- Plan resourcing in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Resourcing and Training Specialist
- Maintain daily alignment with Senior Operators on shipment progress and exceptions
- Act as back up for the Senior Operator when required
- Serve as first point of contact for team members on people related topics
- Contribute to skill development planning and maintenance of the skill matrix
- Prepare and lead structured shift start up meetings and ensure clear communication across the shift
- Participate in planning operational and coordination meetings
Requirements
- Fluent Dutch and English
- Bachelor degree in logistics supply chain or a related field
- Proven experience in warehouse planning and outbound operations
- Demonstrated team leadership experience including performance management
- Willingness to work the morning shift from 6am to 2pm
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes operational procedures and work instructions
- System savvy with working knowledge of WMS environments
- Confident user of MS Outlook Word and PowerPoint
