Job Description

Quality Control Specialist (Manufacturing) – 

Location: Yamagata, Japan

Role Summary

A global manufacturer is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support quality operations at a major production site. The role focuses on analytical testing, quality evaluation, and cross?functional collaboration to maintain high manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out group quality objectives and priority initiatives.

  • Perform quality evaluations for raw materials, bulk products, packaging materials, and finished products.

  • Conduct and assess tests such as process monitoring, validation, complaint investigations, and stability studies.

  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

  • Support operational excellence activities and contribute to workflow optimization.

  • Maintain testing reliability, quality systems, and EHS standards.

  • Assist in team development and support managerial initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience (any of the following; no minimum years required):

  • Quality control experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (including API).

  • Quality control experience in food, chemical, or related industries.

  • Analytical or laboratory experience in chemistry, pharmacy, or medical?science research settings.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry, pharmacy, biology, or another natural science.
