IT Infrastructure Engineer – Lab Digitalization
Job Description
A pharmaceutical organisation is executing a multi year laboratory digitalisation programme. The environment is currently highly paper based with a clear objective to build a future ready digital lab landscape that supports advanced analytics and AI enabled workflows within the next two to three years.
The analysis phase has been completed by an external consultancy. This role will take ownership of execution by building selected capabilities hands on and managing multiple third party providers to deliver against the defined roadmap.
Key responsibilities
* Lead infrastructure execution for a regulated laboratory digitalisation programme
* Build and maintain core lab IT infrastructure including networks domains and system connectivity
* Design and support lab data flows and instrument connectivity across heterogeneous environments
* Install configure and maintain middleware and device integration layers
* Build and support SDSm and middleware environments
* Manage and coordinate third party vendors including system integrators equipment providers and lab software vendors
* Act as technical owner across lab IT systems including day to day support and lifecycle management
* Ensure compliance with GxP CSV and data integrity requirements
* Work closely with quality IT lab operations and external partners
* Provide on call support when required during critical project phases
Required experience
* Strong background as an infrastructure engineer in laboratory environments
* Proven experience building and supporting networks domains and virtualised environments
* Hands on experience with lab middleware and instrument integration layers
* Experience both executing technically and managing third party delivery
* Solid track record working in regulated lab environments with GxP and CSV expectations
* Experience maintaining lab systems including LIMS ELN VMware and related platforms
* Comfortable operating in complex multi vendor programmes
Skills and profile
* Strong understanding of lab workflows data flows and system dependencies
* Structured approach to delivery and vendor management
* Able to operate independently in a long term transformation programme
* Fluent German preferred with ability to operate professionally in an international environment
