Job Description

The Oracle Fusion Database Administrator (DBA) manages, maintains, and optimizes Oracle Fusion Applications and their underlying Oracle databases. This role guarantees high availability, security, and peak performance for Fusion environments used in financials, supply chain, and HCM.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Functions and Associated Tasks for the Role) Business Systems Support
* Lead operational support for Oracle Fusion Cloud, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability across integrated business systems.
* Manage quarterly Oracle release cycles, including environment refreshes, patch planning, coordination, and post?deployment validation.
* Design, support, and troubleshoot enterprise integrations leveraging Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA, and REST/SOAP APIs.
* Monitor and optimize middleware integrations, proactively addressing performance, error handling, and connectivity risks.
* Partner with business and IT stakeholders to execute regression testing and production readiness activities for system updates. Security & Compliance

Responsibilities
* Lead implementation of security, access, encryption, and audit controls across enterprise applications and integrations.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and internal control frameworks (SOX, GxP, GDPR, HIPAA), partnering with Quality and Security stakeholders.
* Support regulated change execution through validated processes, documentation, and audit?ready artifacts.
* Own and maintain architectural diagrams, SOPs, and operational standards to support governance and transparency.
* Execute ITIL?aligned change management, including documentation of integrations, database configurations, and patching activities.

System Maintenance & Monitoring:
* Proactively monitor and manage Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations to ensure reliability, performance, and minimal service disruption.
* Lead root cause analysis for integration incidents, driving corrective actions in coordination with engineering and platform teams.
* Partner with GTS and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated integration issues efficiently.

WORK EXPERIENCE: (Provide Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required for the Role)
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in Oracle Fusion Applications or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
* Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 12c-19c, RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and OEM
* Experience with Oracle Fusion SaaS environments and quarterly update cycles * Understanding of OIC, APIs, FBDI/HDL loads, and ERP/HCM data models

Preferred Qualifications
* Oracle Certifications (OCP, OCA, OCI, Fusion Cloud)
* Experience with DevOps concepts and automation (Shell scripting, Python, Terraform, Ansible)
* Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and AWR/ADDM analysis Key Competencies
* Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
* Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
* Attention to detail and commitment to system reliability.
* Documentation?first mindset

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Management / Data Analytics, or equivalent practical experience supporting business systems in a regulated environment. The following Oracle certifications are a plus:
* Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate (OCA)
* Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)

Pay $51-64/hr based on experience
