Job Description

Pay range: 20-25/hr
*depending on experience

The Material Handler I is responsible for supporting the movement, handling, and storage of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods in a cGMP manufacturing environment. This entry-level role focuses on accurate material handling, basic inventory tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.

Essential Functions
* Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
* Store materials in designated warehouse locations following established procedures.
* Pick, stage, and deliver materials to internal departments as requested.
* Assist with maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
* Perform basic inventory activities such as cycle counts and stock checks.
* Accurately complete required documentation and perform data entry in inventory systems.
* Support packaging and preparation of materials for internal movement or shipment.
* Uses material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, and forklifts, to move materials.
* Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cGMP requirements.
* Work collaboratively with team members and support other warehouse activities as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma or equivalent is required
* Associate’s degree is preferred
* Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
* Experience in a GMP, FDA-regulated, biotechnology environment is preferred.
* Fork lift experience required; valid fork lift license preferred.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices; Kan Ban, JIT, FEFO preferred.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
* Mathematical skills including the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Demonstrates appropriate safety consciousness. Follow Environmental, Health and Safety rules/regulations and report any workplace incidents, injuries or accidents immediately.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrates attention to detail; sense of urgency; deadline driven
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
