Are you an experienced supply chain professional with a passion for pharmaceutical logistics and process optimization? Our client, a prestigious Italian biotech company at the forefront of innovation, is seeking a highly skilled Global Supply Chain Analyst Consultant to support their global supply chain operations across the US & Europe. This exclusive opportunity offers the chance to work remotely within Western Europe and contribute to impactful projects that bridge manufacturing, logistics, and patient care across the US and Europe.
In this pivotal role, you will support downstream supply chain activities critical to maintaining the integrity of highly specialized pharmaceutical products, including biologics requiring cold chain management. Working closely with the Associate Director of Supply Chain, you will be instrumental in integrating new ERP systems, optimizing inventory processes, and managing complex vendor relationships. Your expertise will directly influence the efficiency and quality of supply chain operations in a dynamic, global environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SAP, including standard T-codes and MRP planning functionalities, coupled with hands-on experience supporting SAP S4/HANA migration projects.
- Strong process-driven approach with demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and enhance tools and trackers using Excel or similar platforms.
- Deep understanding of inventory planning, management, and reconciliation processes, particularly involving complex 3PL integrations.
- Experience working with cold chain logistics, specifically in handling biologics and pharma products requiring refrigeration or freezing.
- Vendor management expertise, including overseeing third-party logistics providers and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Prior experience with specialty pharmacy clients and US supply chain operations.
- Global supply chain experience, with at least 5-6 years in a similar role, showing adaptability across different markets.
- Quality-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute to and support QA processes and documentation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Skilled in SAP – ability to do standard T codes, MRP planning. They are doing a migration to a new ERP system, a big part of this role will be supporting the integration of 3PL with that system.
- Experience with S4/HANA.
- Process oriented, good with Excel etc. The hiring manager has developed a number of tools and trackers to try to automate certain activities, this person needs to take on the management of these and enhance and improve what she’s already done.
- Strong understanding of inventory planning and management.
- Have worked with “Cold Chain” – so pharmaceutical products that require freezing/refrigeration.
- Vendor management experience.
- Preference for candidates that have worked with Specialty Pharmacy customers.
- Prior US experience and truly global experience.
- Circa 5-6 years’ in a similar role, including experience in a Sponsor setting.
- Quality oriented, while QA team signs off documents the Supply Chain team provide lots of input.
Other Requirements:
- Must be located in a Western European country with a strong presence in global markets–UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, or similar.
- Ability to work remotely with flexible hours aligned to US and EU time zones, approximately 12-6pm CET or 1-7pm CET.
- Commitment to an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, working exclusively on this project during ramp-up periods.
