Job Description

Clinical Trials Pharmacist

Join a fast-paced clinical research pharmacy team supporting early-phase and healthy-volunteer studies. As a Clinical Trials Pharmacist, you’ll manage investigational products (IP), contribute to study delivery, and ensure high-quality, compliant pharmacy operations.

What you’ll do

  • Handle investigational product management including receipt, storage, temperature monitoring, dispensing, accountability, and destruction.

  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile investigational products, including compounding and small-batch manufacturing.

  • Maintain clean-room standards, asset calibration, and environmental monitoring.

  • Provide clinical trial pharmacy guidance on dosing, interactions, administration, and storage.

  • Support study start-up, documentation, monitoring visits, and communication with study teams and medical staff.

  • Manage stock, ordering, and supply readiness for all study activities.

  • Train staff in IP handling, dispensing, and documentation.

  • Work as an unblinded team member while maintaining study blinding integrity.

  • Uphold ICH-GCP, GMP, and GDP principles with meticulous documentation.

  • Participate in weekend/evening rosters and site-based operational activities.

What you bring

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration.

  • 2+ years’ experience as a registered Pharmacist.

  • Strong attention to detail, reliable judgement, and excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work accurately in a time-critical, regulated environment.

  • Solid computer literacy and high-quality documentation skills.

  • Comfortable working independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in clinical trial or Phase I pharmacy.

  • Knowledge of GMP, TGA requirements, and clean?room operations.

  • Compounding, aseptic technique, or reconstitution experience.
