Description
The Senior Financial Analyst (Contractor) serves as a highly analytical and collaborative finance partner that supports enterprise initiatives. This role will work closely with the VP, Finance to deliver insights and help accelerate decision making through financial modeling, scenario planning and analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial modeling, scenario planning and business case development to enable decision making
  • Partner with VP, Finance to deliver financial analyses and insights for portfolio planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development and Corporate Strategy to gather relevant information for financial analyses
  • Contribute to executive-level presentations and reporting packages for senior leadership
  • Support the financial reporting process, including delivering actionable insights through financial dashboards, variance analysis, KPI tracking and management reports
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or related field; MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Finance preferably within biotech, pharma or life sciences
  • Exceptional financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets, distill insights, and make recommendations
  • Proven track record to partner effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Expertise in financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights) and ERP systems
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility
