POSITION OVERVIEW
Planet Pharma is seeking a senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Construction Lead to support a large-scale pharmaceutical capital program in Central Indiana. This is an owner’s representative leadership role responsible for overseeing all electrical and instrumentation construction activities across a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate brings 20+ years of capital construction experience with deep expertise in electrical distribution, instrumentation installation, and control systems integration in a regulated environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide owner’s representative oversight of all E&I construction activities including electrical distribution, MCC installation, field instrumentation, control panel installation, and cable tray/conduit systems

Monitor contractor and subcontractor E&I installation progress against approved construction schedules; identify and resolve conflicts, delays, and quality deficiencies

Verify E&I installations against approved IFC drawings, single-line diagrams, instrument index, and loop drawings

Coordinate E&I scope interfaces with mechanical, piping, CSA, and process systems construction leads

Oversee cable pulling, termination, megger testing, loop checks, and pre-commissioning electrical activities

Lead punch list development and field verification for E&I scope; track and drive resolution of open items

Manage RFI and submittal processes for E&I scope; interface with electrical and controls engineering on field conditions

Support E&I turnover documentation including system completion packages, test records, and as-built markups

Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, site safety standards, and GMP documentation requirements

Mentor E&I Construction Supervisors and System Owners within the team
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

20+ years of capital construction experience with a focus on electrical and instrumentation systems — REQUIRED

Direct pharma, biotech, or other regulated industry experience strongly preferred (data centers, petrochemical, O&G considered)

Demonstrated owner’s representative or client-side construction management experience on programs of $100M+

Deep knowledge of electrical distribution systems, MCC construction, field instrumentation installation, and control system integration

Experience with loop checking, megger testing, functional testing, and pre-commissioning E&I activities

Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, ISA standards, and GMP instrumentation documentation requirements

Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and construction documentation management tools

Experience with DeltaV, Rockwell, or similar DCS/PLC platforms from a construction interface perspective a strong plus

OSHA 30 certification required; BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred

Ability to work full-time on-site in Central Indiana
