Facilities Service Team Member – Join a Dynamic Maintenance Team in Heerlen!

What You’ll Do:
– Perform comprehensive repairs and preventative maintenance across a diverse campus including distribution centres and office buildings.
– Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs to ensure facility operations run smoothly.
– Read and interpret technical drawings, quotations, and specifications to determine repair needs and project scope.
– Support electrical and mechanical systems, including testing, diagnosing, and repairing machinery and infrastructure.
– Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members, supporting continuous improvement in maintenance practices.

Required Skills:
– Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in building maintenance, facility services, or related fields.
– Solid background in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with the ability to interpret technical drawings and quotations.
– Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks independently.
– Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are a plus but not essential.

Nice to Have Skills:
– Experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, plumbing, painting, or carpentry.
– Familiarity with facility management systems and preventive maintenance software.
– Additional language skills, especially Dutch, are advantageous but not mandatory.

Preferred Education and Experience:
– A background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is highly preferred.
– Around 5 years of experience in a similar senior maintenance or facilities role, demonstrating autonomy and the ability to work across multiple buildings.

Other Requirements:
– This is a fully on-site position in Heerlen, Netherlands.
– Prepared to work under a 12-month contract.
