Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Are you looking to join a highly automated, state of the art logistics operation within a global healthcare organisation? This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of advanced automated warehousing and material handling systems.
Working as part of a team maintenance professionals, you will play a key role in ensuring critical logistics equipment remains operational, helping keep products moving efficiently through a fast paced distribution environment.
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a range of automated logistics and facility systems. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance and work closely with colleagues to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore operations as quickly as possible.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated logistics systems including high bay cranes, pallet lifts, sorting equipment and conveyor systems.
- Support the maintenance of cooling, heating and facility infrastructure.
- Handle calls from the control room, accurately document interventions and escalate issues when required.
- Carry out preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics or a related technical discipline.
- Initial professional experience within a maintenance, engineering or technical environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electricity, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Comfortable diagnosing faults across both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Self motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Working Pattern
- Rotating early and late shifts.
- Occasional night shift cover when required.
- Participation in an on call rota approximately one week every 2 months
