Job Description
General Manager, Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for day-to-day operations across warehousing, inventory management, distribution, customer service, and support functions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Lead workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and succession planning efforts.
- Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and customer service.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop operational strategies, budgets, and performance objectives.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure service commitments are consistently achieved.
- Lead audit readiness efforts and support internal and external inspections as required.
- Identify operational risks and implement effective corrective actions and process improvements.
- Oversee facility resources, capital projects, and cost management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience.
- Experience managing large teams within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or other operational environments.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.
- Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience managing budgets, labor planning, and performance metrics.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with ERP, WMS, or other operational management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications.
- Experience leading multi-site, multi-customer, or complex operational environments.
