Training Program Manager
Position Summary
The Training Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining employee training and qualification programs within a regulated operational environment. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure employees receive effective onboarding, compliance, technical, and job-specific training that supports business objectives, operational excellence, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will lead training initiatives, manage learning systems and records, develop training materials, evaluate training effectiveness, and support workforce development across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer site training and employee qualification programs.
- Develop and maintain training curricula, learning paths, training matrices, and qualification requirements.
- Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training activities for employees across multiple functions.
- Create and revise training materials, job aids, assessments, and learning resources.
- Conduct training needs assessments and identify competency gaps.
- Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate training records within learning management systems.
- Track and report training metrics, completion status, and program effectiveness.
- Partner with operational, quality, safety, and leadership teams to support workforce development initiatives.
- Facilitate classroom, virtual, and hands-on training sessions as needed.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews by ensuring training documentation is complete and readily available.
- Assist with process improvement projects and organizational change initiatives that require training support.
- Provide coaching and guidance to trainers, supervisors, and subject matter experts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Life Sciences, Organizational Development, Training, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in training, learning and development, workforce development, quality systems, operations, or a related environment.
- Experience managing training programs, learning management systems (LMS), and employee qualification processes.
- Strong instructional design, facilitation, and technical writing skills.
- Experience developing training documentation, procedures, assessments, and job aids.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a regulated, quality-driven, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, life sciences, or operational environment.
- Familiarity with audit readiness, compliance programs, and employee qualification processes.
- Experience with LMS administration, training metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
