Lead Project Planner
Job Description
12 month contract l full time l on-site
Planet Pharma is supporting a leading life sciences organisation in the search for an experienced project planning professional to join a major pharmaceutical capital investment programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a complex, high value project, providing schedule leadership, strategic planning support and project controls expertise across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain integrated project schedules, ensuring key milestones and critical path activities remain on track.
- Analyse schedule performance, identify risks and bottlenecks, and provide recommendations to project leadership.
- Support project teams with planning insights to enable informed decision making.
- Develop, manage and optimise project schedules in line with established planning standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely schedule updates are communicated across the project organisation.
- Work closely with package leads and stakeholders to understand dependencies, constraints and potential delivery risks.
- Coordinate planning activities across multiple functions while supporting resource and workload management.
Experience Required
- 10+ years of project planning experience within large scale CAPEX programmes.
- Previous pharmaceutical, biotechnology or highly regulated industry experience.
- Strong understanding of commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
- Advanced Primavera P6 expertise and experience managing complex project schedules.
- Proven ability to analyse data and translate findings into actionable project decisions.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams in fast paced environments.
Preferred Background
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Project Management certification such as PMP would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting large manufacturing, facility expansion or infrastructure projects.
