Are you an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in a scientific, research-led environment? We’re seeking a highly organised, proactive and personable EA to provide dedicated support to a Chief Scientific Officer within a leading life sciences organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of an organisation driving innovation and impact across the life sciences sector. You’ll act as a trusted business partner, ensuring the CSO can focus on strategic priorities while you manage a fast-paced and varied workload.

The Role

Supporting the Chief Scientific Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a complex diary and coordinating meetings across multiple stakeholders
  • Overseeing inbox management, prioritising communications and drafting responses
  • Acting as the key point of contact for senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating board and leadership meetings, preparing agendas, papers and presentations
  • Arranging national and international travel, itineraries and expenses
  • Taking accurate meeting minutes and tracking actions to completion
  • Supporting project coordination and ensuring key deadlines are met
  • Handling highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Anticipating challenges and proactively identifying solutions
  • Building strong relationships across the business and wider scientific community

About You

We’re looking for an Executive Assistant with experience supporting senior scientific leaders who understands the pace and priorities of a research-driven environment.

You’ll bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience supporting a Chief Scientific Officer or senior scientific executive
  • Previous experience within life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or R&D environments
  • Strong understanding of scientific terminology and ways of working
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience preparing board packs, reports and presentation materials
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, professionalism and discretion
