Project Manager, Facility Engineering & Cleanroom Infrastructure
Location: Bradley, IL (100% Onsite)
Duration: October 2026 – December 2028
Employment Type: Contract Consultant
Pay Rate: $95-$115/hour + expenses
Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead facility and infrastructure improvement projects within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will manage projects involving cleanrooms, HVAC systems, material flows, personnel flows, environmental controls, facility modifications, and GMP compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facility engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Manage engineering design reviews and contractor activities.
- Coordinate cleanroom and HVAC improvement initiatives.
- Support construction planning, execution, and turnover.
- Drive schedule development and project tracking.
- Manage project budgets, risks, and change controls.
- Support commissioning and qualification activities.
- Coordinate with Quality, Validation, Manufacturing, and Facilities teams.
- Ensure projects meet GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Provide routine status updates and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences experience.
- 7+ years of project management experience.
- Experience with cleanrooms and controlled environments.
- Experience managing facility modifications or capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC design or upgrade experience.
- Facility remediation experience.
- Material and personnel flow optimization experience.
- Aseptic manufacturing experience.
- Cleanroom classification knowledge.
- Engineering consulting or owner’s representative experience.
- Commissioning and qualification support experience.
