Job Description

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager for Content Excellence to join the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) to cover a temporary maternity leave. In this pivotal, high-impact role, you will lead operational frameworks that elevate strategic planning, streamline content supply chains, and ensure seamless, high-quality execution across key CMO teams and the broader Marketing organization.
As our Content Excellence team rolls out modern content capabilities across the enterprise, you will serve as a key operational and change lead. You will bridge strategic alignment with tactical execution, guiding teams through learning journeys, removing cross-functional friction, driving system and process adoption, and ensuring content initiatives deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities

* Learning Journey Strategy & Delivery: Design, structure, and execute comprehensive learning journeys and enablement programs that onboard and upskill cross-functional teams on newly deployed content capabilities, tools, and guidelines.

* Content Operations & Workflow Management: Lead operational support for end-to-end content workflow strategy and governance, ensuring cross-functional alignment across stakeholders.

* Process Optimization & Systemic Efficiency: Diagnose operational opportunities in content processes and asset management, designing scalable efficiencies and guidelines that simplify complex approvals and accelerate speed-to-market.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration & Facilitation: Facilitate key operational content forums, review sessions, and alignment meetings with strong executive presence, translating high-level requirements into clear action plans.

* Change Management & Enablement: Deliver targeted change management, training, and documentation to support marketing teams in adopting new content tools, guidelines, and modern practices (including generative AI enablement).

Capabilities

* Strategic Content Agility: Thrives in ambiguity, connects broader marketing goals to granular asset workflows, and adapts prioritization effectively based on shift in business strategy.

* Content Governance & Project Management: Applies structured operations methodologies to manage content lifecycles, asset repositories, timelines, and multi-channel deliverables.

* Inspiring & Influencing: Drives consensus among diverse stakeholders-including creative teams, legal/regulatory reviewers, and executive leadership-without direct authority.

* Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at converting complex process updates or brand strategy mandates into clear operational direction.

* Analytical & Continuous Improvement: Skilled at measuring operational bottlenecks, asset utilization, and workflow throughput to continuously optimize content operations.

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree and 5-7 years of experience in content operations, marketing operations, or creative project management.

* Proven track record of managing end-to-end content workflows, digital asset management systems, and multi-channel campaign ops.

Preferred Qualifications

* Strong understanding of commercial marketing processes within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (e.g., MLR/PRC review processes).

* Experience with enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, Adobe Experience Manager).

* Expertise in Agile marketing methodologies, creative agency workflows, and modern content capabilities (including AI tools for content generation/management).

Pay Rate Range: $40-59/hr depending on experience
